Tim Lovell is the Owner and President of Lovell Hockey, one of North America’s leading amateur hockey and skill development service companies. He is in his 26th year of ownership of Lovell Hockey and is one of the most respected amateaur sports business leaders in the space.
Tim’s passion for hockey ignited during his childhood and transformed into a lifelong dedication. He grew up playing for a host of teams coached by his father while working shoulder-to-shoulder with him during summers at Lovell Hockey School.
After a hall of fame career at Norwood High School, Tim was recruited to join the University of Maine Black Bears where he notched ‘All Hockey East’, ‘All New England’ and ‘Team USA’ honors from 1994-1996 before concluding his collegiate career as Captain of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1998. That same year, Tim began a professional hockey career which made stops in the AHL, IHL, WCHL, Swiss and German leagues while he laid the foundation for what would become Lovell Hockey during his off-time in the summer.
Tim has transformed Lovell Hockey from a provider of Clinics to one that serves +12,000 players annually through its collection of program offerings which include, Youth Hockey Teams, Lovell Arena and The Academy while continuing to deliver the skill development that has become synonymous with the Lovell Hockey name.
As his influence has expanded, he still manages to coach and develop players ages 5 and up, a quality that has led to the advancement of 300+ Lovell Hockey players to the collegiate and professional ranks. In addition to his role as Owner and President, Tim continues to hold numerous leadership positions for the company.
Tim has four children, Timothy (22), Lillian (20), George (16) and Annabelle (14) and currently resides in Hingham, MA with his wife, Anne with their dogs, Russell and Bernie.
