Join us at Lovell Arena for a full weekend of development at the Lovell Hockey Weekend Mini-Clinic! Players will be separated into Intermediate and Elite groups based on ability, allowing each player to train at the pace and level that will benefit their individual development most.
Intermediate Groups
Intermediate sessions will focus on building and improving the fundamentals of all four major areas of the game:
- Skating
- Stickhandling
- Passing
- Shooting
Coaches will break down proper technique in each area and progress players at the appropriate pace. As skills improve, the tempo will increase. Lovell Hockey instructors will continuously observe, instruct and correct players throughout each session.
Elite Groups
Elite sessions are designed for players ready to train at a faster pace and higher level.
Players can expect:
- A faster overall tempo
- Quick progression through shooting, passing, skating and stickhandling
- Fast transitions between increasingly difficult drills
- Coaching designed to continue challenging players and push them toward the next level
Group Placement
Please register for the group that is most appropriate for your player.
Lovell Hockey groups players primarily by ability, not age. If a player is registered for a group that our staff believes is not the best fit, the player may be moved to a different group that will better benefit both the individual player and the group.

The player also wants to play with and against better players for his/her own development. We try to group the players by ability and not age. Lovell Hockey has been grouping players this way for over 28 years. Please trust the process. If a player shows improvement, the staff has the ability to move that player to another group if they think it will benefit the player as well as the group that he/she is moving into.”
